Bill Kirchen with The Lost Planet Airmen

As a founding member of Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen, Kirchen first brought the band to the Bay Area in December 1969. Now Bill brings the Airmen back to town to celebrate the release of their new 50 year reunion album, Back From The Ozone. Four original Airmen - Kirchen, Bruce Barlow, Andy Stein and John Tichy, plus Austin de Lone, Peter Siegel and Paul Revelli went into the studio last year and recorded a disc of half new originals and half Cody classics. All seven hit the stage this Friday, June 28 at HopMonk's Outdoor Venue in Novato and on Saturday, June 29 at the Freight And Salvage in Berkeley, the scene of their very first gig on California soil, at the original F & S on San Pablo Ave in Berkeley in 1969!
